THE FIRST VISIT TO THE REGIMENT
In preparation for the upcoming ceremony together with the Royal Horse Guard the 23rd of August, a first visit was made to Stockholm to see the stable and other facilities. It was a quiet day with very little riding activity and everything went well.
Salut makes a first observation of the "battlefield". (The blisters in his face are caused by flies during an unusually warm summer period).
The first objects of interest were the cannons, but they were found to be quite friendly.
Next object of interest was the sentry-box.
Then time came to inspect troops mounting their horses.
Finally a visit to the stables, Salut's future home.
Suddenly old childhood friends meet again not having seen each other since the transportation from Czechia.
The mission to Stockholm is finished and Salut has exceeded
the expectations.
Next time it will be more lively, including music.
