IN THE RIDING HALL

Being a 4-year old Kladruber you are all the time faced with new experiences and demands. When the well known rider Ricardo Reis visited Sweden we were given the opportunity to have him as an instructor. It also became Salut's and my first indoor session together.

There were a number of things to regard with suspicion. Worst was the spectators coming out of the glass walled cafeteria to witness the activities.

The exercises were aimed at improving the forward action and to get Salut to lower and stretch his neck. Only when relaxed could further work be done.

Following riding over bars the session would finish by trotting over a small fence. For the first time Salut would now take a small leap without forgetting his hind legs. Zero faults!

Salut's training proceeds and he is gathering experiences for his future.
