"AT HOME" AGAIN!
Following a wet Christmas week the ground froze without snow making it very hard and uneven. Right away Salut showed a marked lameness of the right front. Suspicion rose that by stepping on something hard a hoof edema had developed but the symptoms were not quite typical.
When no change had occurred for a few weeks Salut was taken to the Regiment for investigation and treatment. The pus soon came out and Salut was cured.
After a trial in the riding hall at the Regiment we drove back to Ekensholm. You cannot mistake his happy playing around. (The ground was now soft again).
"Airborne" trot with no hoof touching the ground!
The snow came back and riding was mixed with lining. Salut wants to show off with something looking a bit like a "levad".
You can hardly see the bars in the snow but Salut is observant and is doing the trot exercise very well.
But life is not just work!
